What was formerly considered to be taboo several seasons ago is now popping up on the cool kids around the world and has been creeping its way into the fashion world in the past few months. No longer reserved for just two stepping, rhinestone wearing rodeo cowgirls, denim on denim (worn in just that right way of course) is making its way to shores across the world and even I can't resist joining in. :)

Clemence Poesy will forever be one of my style icons I think. She is so understated yet so daring.

I am so glad Gossip Girl is back on! The show that can draw me to it based on its wardrobe choices alone. I can't wait to see how Clemence fit sinto everything once Blair finds out!

The individualistic Clemence Poesy stands out among her peers on the red carpet in a denim skirt and silk bow blouse. What a triumph for her.

Like a Lady

Now I have girl crushes (i.e. Megan Fox, Angelina Jolie) because I admire certain women's goddess-like qualities but not necessarily their perception of style. But what transcends that is my "lady crushes." And those include, but are not limited to: Clemence Poesy, Keira Knightley, Carey Mulligan, and of course the woman who was capable of playing the most beautiful woman of all time, Helen of Troy, the lovely Diane Kruger. All these women possess class and grace and yet they still manage to pull off the trendiest designs of all and still make look their own without the pieces overpowering them. They look like no one else on the red carpet and often pull out new ideas that no one has dreamt of doing yet. And that my friends, is what makes a true modern lady.

If only I had a bank account to afford this. I'd be wearing these pieces to school (especially those boots) everyday thinking I'm the baddest chick around. lol
